Depending on what type of business manager you are will depend on the type of communication you have with your employees. The most important thing that you want to remember in communication is that it is everything. If you are delegating tasks you need to make sure that communicate exactly what needs to be done. Make sure that if a person is doing a task for the first time that you give direction so that they can do their job correctly and you won't have to re do it.

If this is the case you need to make sure that you word your e-mails right. The worst thing that happens when people are writing e-mail back and forth is for things to get miss interpreted and end up starting something that should have never been started in the first place.

You want to make sure that if there are certain issues that need to be taken care of that you do it in a manner that does not point fingers but gets right to the point. For example if you are having problems with certain people ding their fair share of the work you will want to make sure that you bring it up in a staff meeting that there are concerns but do not point out one person in general. This is not only uncomfortable to the employee but it will also end up causing problems that can be avoided all together.

The fourth look at different methods of communication you can use as a business manager is if you have an employee you need to talk to about problems in the office. You will want to make sure that you do it in a manner that is not threatening to them and that will allow you to express your feelings. The best way might be to start out by asking them how they feel things are going at work and see if they have any concerns and then go form there.
