How to better do the 3 A's-Aim, Act, Assess

A lot of business has to do with following plans, making goals, and trying to achieve those goals. There are a lot of different strategies and plans which can help people to work on these different aspects of business. One of the popular ways that businessmen have characterized these goals is through the "3 A's." The 3 A's are: Aim, Act, and Assess. Sure, these words sound easy and simple, but sometimes it's hard to just follow the 3 A's. Here are a couple of ways that you can better do the 3 A's - Aim, Act, Assess.

•  Write things down: Whether you are AIMing, ACTing, or assessing, you will want to make sure that you are constantly writing things down. For example, as you are aiming for different business goals and projects, you will want to write down exactly what you want to accomplish. Then, while you are doing the ACTing process, you will want to write down exactly what you are doing to achieve your goals. Finally, when you go to assess, it will be much easier for you, because you will be able to see exactly what you have done because of everything you wrote down. Writing everything down is critical to better doing the 3 A's - even if you think something might not be relevant to your 3 A's, write it down anyways. Better to be safe than sorry, right?


•  Make daily goals for yourself: Sure, it's easy to write down the 3 A's, but then how to you actually keep on track? Some people find that it is easier to have success with the 3 A's when you set daily goals for yourself. When you have decided what you want to aim for, then you should start acting with daily goals! Figure out what you can achieve step by step, so that the whole task of acting doesn't seem too overwhelming or difficult. If you need help getting daily goals done, then make yourself a calendar and write the goals on the calendar. Hang the calendar in a place that you'll be sure to see every day, like on the top of your desk or on your wall.


•  Reward yourself: Some people have found that motivation is one of the best ways to get them to do better the 3 A's. One of the ways that you can motivate yourself is by rewarding yourself. If you are having a hard time buckling down and doing the ACT part of the 3 A's, then reward yourself when you do get something done! Buy yourself a treat or take a short break from work when you ACT. This is a great way to motivate yourself to do the 3 A's better!


•  Don't get discouraged: It can be easy to get discouraged when working hard and trying to follow the 3 A's. One way that you can do the 3 A's better is to maintain a positive attitude and not get discouraged! If things don't go quite the way that you had outlined them in your AIM section, don't worry about it! You can always try again and do better later! Just let mishaps and mistakes roll off of you, and don't get let down! This way, you will be able to do better at the 3 A's in the long run, because you will have a positive attitude and not get discouraged when things don't go exactly the way that you want them to.

The 3 A's are a great way for businessmen to work at bettering their business and their work. Hopefully following these ideas will help you to better do the 3 A's, and have success in your business!
