- Many times the treatments or services must be medically necessary in order to be covered. The insurer can deny the patient coverage if the treatment is not deemed necessary.
- Expenses can be limited to reasonable and customary charges
- Pre-existing conditions or problems that have been diagnosed or treated prior to the effective date of the insurance are often times not allowed or require extensive waiting periods for coverage.
Yes it's true that even finding employee healthcare plans for less is difficult these days, however it would seem that going with an employer to find healthcare coverage is one of the cheapest ways to insure yourself and your family at an affordable rate.
