Evaluating your health fair
When you are promoting your health fair you are going to want to make sure that you use your health fair's theme so that you are maintaining consistency with all of the promotional material. Something else to keep in mind when you are promoting your health fair is that visibility is vital to the success of your promotional campaign, if people cannot see it or don't see it they will not know what is going on. You also need to keep in mind that different people are going to respond to different methods of promotion, so you want to use as many methods as possible. Here are some methods that you can use to promote your health fair:
Once you have had the health fair you are going to need measure the success of the health. One of the easiest ways to do this is to provide an evaluation form to the people who attended the health fair and the providers who participated in the health fair. It is important to get both the participants and providers feedback on the health fair because they are going to be providing information from different points of view. The participant's evaluation is going to be giving you information about how the participants heard about the fair and why they decided to go. This evaluation is also going to ask them about the booths that were at the fair; specifically it is going to ask about why they did not participate in certain booths at the fair and what ones they found the most interesting. The evaluation is also going to ask about the set up and organization of the health fair, what else they would like to see, and the professionalism of the providers and staff. TO make sure the participants fill out this evaluation form you will want to offer the participants an incentive for returning the forms, such as an entry into a drawing for some kind of prize. The providers of the health fair are also going to need to fill out an evaluation form, rather than giving it to them at the end of the health fair you will want to give it to them about a half hour before the fair ends so that they can fill it out before they leave. The form that you give the providers is going to provide you with feedback about the organization and implementation of the health fair from their perspective. If you were able to get the providers to donate their services you can ask them for a estimate on the value of everything that they provided, which is a great way for you to estimate the total value of the health fair. You can also ask the provider's if they would be willing to participate in next year's health fair and if they felt anything needed to be changed with how the health fair was set up.
