Fish oils and cholesterol
Many people are looking for ways in which to lower their cholesterol. Some tests have shown that fish oil is a good way of lowering cholesterol. Some doctors believe that fish oil can dramatically reduce the levels of dangerous fats that may be present in your blood.
High cholesterol is an increasing problem for many people for many reasons. One of the primary reasons for high cholesterol is poor diet. It is becoming increasingly clear that diets high in animal products such as meat, cheese, whole milk, eggs, and cream, and high in fried foods such as French fries and doughnuts, and high in processed foods such as cookies, crackers, and white bread, can generally be predicted to cause high levels of bad cholesterol, or LDL, in our bodies.
On the other hand, natural foods such as fruit, vegetables, beans, and grains have shown to dramatically lower levels of bad cholesterol in the blood.
There are also certain types of oils, which provide good fats to the system, which do this. These oils include olive, corn, and flaxseed oil.
Some studies have shown that fish oil can have a dramatic impact in lowering levels of LDL. When levels of LDL are lowered, dangerous fats that clog up veins and arteries are driven from the body. When veins and arteries are clogged up with these dangerous fats, the blood has a very difficult time getting through. It tries to push through, but can't do it as smoothly and effectively as it used to. This makes a person tired, achy, and depressed. Even worse, if the blood is interfered with for too long, it can begin to form into tiny clots which lead to heart attacks and stroke and death.
Fish oils are high in what is known as omega-3 fatty acids. These acids are a primary source of vitamins, and have been shown to lower depression and benefit those suffering from cardiovascular diseases. They've also been shown to benefit those suffering from high cholesterol. They've even been known to help to fight off cancer.
The following list highlights just a few of the positive benefits that studies of fish oils and the human bodies have found.
1. Fish oils can in many cases can prevent altogether or at least lessen the negative effects of heart attack, congestive heart failure, angina, and stroke.

Fish oils can be an important element in an overall diet created to lower the levels of cholesterol in your body. Along with fish oils, doctors prescribe a diet high in natural foods such as vegetables, fruit, beans, and grain.
Fish oils can also help you in your exercise program. Exercise, along with a diet high in natural foods, should be one of your main weapons in the fight against high cholesterol. Fish oils clear the mind and feed the brain. Studies have shown that people who consume fish oils are generally more alert and energetic.
