The first step to happiness at work is a good life outside of work. Health plays a big part in happiness. Exercise and proper nutrition boost energy, as avoiding ailment keeps you on the right track. These are ways to keep employees healthy and grateful to work for their company.

1. Push Good Nutrition
Nothing is worse than an illness caused by what we love. Certain foods can damage a body, but the right food can heal and rejuvenate. Encourage each employee to get yearly check ups at his or her doctor's office, and any other kind of check ups needed.
Also, provide for weight management and exercise programs in a benefits package. Programs to help with addictions like smoking are recommended. Those who are fit may have more energy to work more efficiently.
Teach about healthy eating. Send out monthly emails and post signs around the office. Do not offer free soda from the fountain. Offer free water or low-calorie, low-sugar juice instead. This paints the picture that the company is concerned about the well being of employees.
Offer healthy snacks at meetings. Whole grain crackers and cheese or sandwiches are a good alternative to donuts or sugary muffins. Those "healthy" people are likely to appreciate being able to partake when the right food is offered. There is no need for corporate to contribute to obesity.
2. Working Out For Better Working
Offer gym memberships, or better yet, an in-office gym. A room dedicated to a couple of treadmills, elliptical and weight machines can be a great investment in the company's future, as well as a pull for promising hires to join the workforce. Make sure that the maintenance crew keeps towels well stocked and machines well oiled and clean.

That virus was also stopped because of the nation's big push for immediate vaccines. Offer free vaccines for common illnesses to workers and their families. This prevents an employee carrying a virus or disease from home. Set up a day to administer shots or offer them free through each family doctor. Any steps taken for prevention are worth the small sacrifice. It would be a shame to have a majority of the company hit hard by the common flu.
Take these steps to begin bringing the health of your company up to higher standards. Each person deserves to live a little healthier and be a little happier. Implementing these practices can help lower the employee hospital count and boost the productivity of each department.
