Residential Real Estate

Buying houses, fixing them up, and selling them again can be a great investment strategy. There are other options besides just selling the property as well; the business could rent it out. Another strategy could be to buy an apartment complex. Purchasing a property that is located in a nice area that has a high price for real estate, but that may need work will likely give a large return on the businesses investment. It is important to remember that is the business is going to pursue this investment strategy that they have enough resources and time to invest in the renovation in a timely manner and that the research has been done to ensure that the property can be sold quickly and so they can get the highest profit.

Commercial Real Estate

Another investment strategy for a business could be commercial real estate investments. There are several ways that investing in commercial real estate can make a business money. If the available space in the commercial property is leased out, the property will pay for itself and could even bring in a profit for the business that is investing since the tenants can help pay the mortgage. This could even leave extra money for more investments.

Also, if the commercial real estate property that the company invests in is in a prime business location, when it comes time to sell the property they should be able to make a profit on the building. With this money they can invest in their business directly, or turn around and buy another property. Another strategy that businesses should keep in mind if they do buy commercial real estate is the option of investing in the area surrounding the original property. Stock Market

The stock market can be a great strategy for business investments. This option for investing does have a higher risk, but with the greater risk comes the chance for a greater return. When investing in the stock market it is very important to do research first. There are a lot of factors that should be weighed. How much risk is the business willing to take? What are the best stocks to invest in?

Penny stocks are something to consider if the business is willing to take quite a bit of risk. These stocks are those of new companies. Penny stocks can be purchased at a low price and if the business does well and grows, the stock follows. But on the other hand, if the business fails, so does the stock.

Some stock isn't quite as risky. Companies that have established themselves and have a history of making their stockholders money can make investing in this option a little less risky. The rate of these returns will be slightly smaller though.

The strategy that should be involved in buying and investing in stock is research. There will always be some risk, but if the company is willing to take the time to research what would be best for them, even if it means not making a lot of money from one investment, it will be well worth their time and money.

Bonds

If a business buys a bond then the issuer of the bond has to repay the holder the principal and interest at a later time. Bonds are a type of investment that carries little risk. This may be a good investment strategy for a business that is new at investing and a little timid. But since there is very little risk, the rate of return is quite low. Bonds do allow for a business to make a long term investments with little worry.
