A Profit Sharing plan is a contribution plan in which employers allow employees to share in company profits. The employer's contribution may vary from year to year. Employees are allowed to share in the profits of the business on the basis of some predetermined arrangement. Employers can contribute up to 25% of total employee compensation.

Single 401K
A Single 401K is a type of employer-sponsored retirement plan. This means that the employer will match a fixed percentage of what the employee invests. Employee salary deferrals up to $15,500 ($20,500 if age 50 or over) for 2007 and 2008. The employer can contribute up to 25% of compensation. The total of salary deferral and contributions cannot exceed the lesser of $46,000 or 100% of the employee's compensation for 2008.

Money Purchase
Money Purchase is the determination of an individual member's benefits by the contributions paid into a pension scheme. It is usually increased by an amount based on the investment return on those contributions. This is a mandatory employer contribution plan. They employer can contribute up to 25% of the employees total compensation, with no more than $46,000 to any one participant for 2008.
