Who handles company investments?

Company investments are generally handled by a group of experienced, well trained people. Usually the size of the company will dictate who handles the investments and the type of investment and the amount of money invested. Depending on the size of the company and the amount of investments that company has will determine the person or group of people that will be handling the company's investments.

A smaller company may only have one or two people handling their investments. Another small company may go to an outside source that will handle their investments. Large companies may have many people handling their investments. Usually, in a large company with a lot of investments, there may be groups that each have a specific type of investment they handle.

For instance, there may be a group who specifically handles the real estate investing and another group handling the short term investing. There are many different types of investing which maybe handled in many different ways.If a company is into stocks they may have someone who is trained and experienced to handle investments in stocks or they may have a group of people who have experience handling investments in stocks.

A smaller company may hire someone who knows about the handling of investments in bonds and that maybe the only investing they do.A company with more to invest may have someone to handle the investments in bonds and also have a different person who has experience in handling investments in mutual funds.

A larger company may have more complicated types of securities and investment strategies. A very large company may look into finding many people to handle their investments. They may have a CFO with assistants to help with handling some of their company investments. Then they may also have another real estate specialist who has assistants to help in handling investments in real estate. They may have an accountant who handles investments in mutual funds, as well.Or they may have a board of directors that all work together handling the company's investments, all having input into the type of investments the company would like to make, thefunds used to make those investments and how those investments are made.

A very large company that is specifically an investment company may have entire divisions who work exclusively on a single type of investment, for instance, real estate. And then another division where people are specifically experienced with investing in stocks.

To summarize, there are different kinds of investments:

- Real Estate
- Mutual Funds
- Stocks
- Bonds

They fall into different categories, like:

- Long Term investing
- Short Term investing

The size of the company will determine who handles the company's investments as well as the type of investing, and whether their investments are long term and short term. Also, the size of the company will determine weather or not they invest in more complicated types of securities and investment strategies.

When making the decision on who will handle your company investments you will need to decide how much you will be investing and in what you will be investing and then determine whether one person can handle the investments or ifthe work will take a group of people. If one person is trained and experienced to handle some investments and you have a smaller company with fewer investments then that may be the best option. If your company is large and needs someone to handle investments in a lot of areas then a group or groups to handle your investments
