What's Your Business Model?
When starting a business one very important questions you're going to want to ask right at first, is, "How are we going to bring in money?" It is important to carry a product, it is important to advertise a product, but if you don't know the value of what you are offering the consumer nor have you decided how to market and deliver your product, you are unlikely to be successful in selling your product for long.
Even a child who opens a lemonade stand (though they may not know it) has a business model. The example of a child at a lemonade stand would be a, "Cutting out the Middle Man," business model. Meaning the child, the manufacture, sells directly to its consumer, rather than using a distributor, or sales agent. By thus cutting out the middle man the child can reduce the price of the lemonade making it more affordable (which generally makes it more desirable) to the consumer.

Selling to the Hispanic market:
With the multicultural denominations we have in America today, marketing must find new ways to include the interest, backgrounds, and needs of everyone.
Why is it important in America to know how to sell to the Hispanic market? Because we have the fourth largest population of Hispanics in the world! Find that amazing? In 2004, 40.4 million Hispanics lived in the U.S., 14 percent of the total population! They represent a combined 686 billion dollar purchasing power. (See Hispanic Trends: a People in Motion, a 2005 report by the Pew Hispanic Center.)

How To Write an Effective Creative Brief
The purpose of a creative brief is to provide a clear understanding of your company, its purpose, inner workings, and current projects, to a creative team who can take that information and apply it to a work of art, graphic design, sculpture, etc. that will be used for a creative representation of your company.
If you have been assigned to write the creative brief you need to write as if you are talking with someone who knows nothing about your company. In this way you can provide a clear and accurate understanding without assuming the creative team will know already who they are working for.

How to market yourself - effective marketing when you are the product
Why market yourself? To show potential employers the best side of you, and the you they need to hire.
Marketing yourself can be fun, who doesn't like a pat on the back and wink of approval, even if it is coming from your self. Giving yourself a pat on the back and a wink of approval is exactly what you want to, and have to do, to get accepted for the job you want.
When you are preparing to market yourself you must know what your strengths and specific skills are. If you do not know and feel confident about what your strengths are then before preparing a resume or throwing yourself into the market, you must take some time to first come to know your strengths and skills.

How to create memorable advertising messages:
Using creativity in your advertising messages is going to be the best way to make that message both lasting and memorable.
As with all business entering the market or releasing a new product, you must do market research. This research must first include knowing your competitors. What angles of the product are they currently focusing their attention on? What areas of advertising are they find success in? What needs of the consumers are they not meeting? And for advertising purposes, how well do their advertisements hook the consumers in?
How can your business be different from your competitors? If your competitors are currently rallying around one area of the market and focusing on that, than you need to target another area that makes your business stand out. For example, if all car companies that are selling sports utility vehicles are focusing on the power and speed of their brand of car, then you need to focus on the comfort and design of yours. Your consumers will apply the power of an SUV to your SUV simply though the other advertisements they see, but when they think of comfort, and of style, you want you company to be singled out.

How to create an effective positioning statement:
A positioning statement needs to tell your employees as well as consumers who you are and what your focus and goals are. It needs to convey the message of your mission statement and your vision for your company all in one sentence to one short paragraph.
You will want to begin developing your mission statement with a team of company employees who are helping you unite your company as one. As a team you will discuss ideas and vision you have in mind for your company and together come up with one main goal.
Social Marketing:
Social marketing is the campaign or program planning that is aimed to bring about social changes through commercial marketing. Social marketing is aimed at getting its target group to accept or deny certain behaviors.
Some common examples we see today are advertisements encouraging parents to talk to their children about drug use before the child is tempted to try drugs. These advertisements are generally targeted towards the parents rather than the children. For example the advertisers will first show a parent who is concerned about their child or children getting into drugs. The advertisement will then show a nervous parent approaching the child and then speaking to the child about drugs. The ending meaning of the advertisement is that no matter how nervous a parent may be, talking to their children is going to be worth it in the end. This advertisement is obviously aimed at getting parents to talk to their children and hopefully dramatically reduce the amount of drugs being used by teens - thus it is a behavior change the social marketing is trying to change.

How to create a great elevator speech:
An elevator speech is a personal introduction of yourself that not only introduce you but also your product, service, or company. An elevator speech should give people you meet a good introduction of you and a desire to know more about what you do. An elevator speech is usually no longer than thirty to sixty second long (you don't want to annoy the person by trapping them into hearing your whole sales pitch!).
To have a truly great elevator speech, you must believe in what you are saying. You cannot be embarrassed to use your elevator speech, but rather you must speak with confidence with a real interest in what you do. If you're not interested, your listener will not be either.
You will want to open your elevator speech with what is referred to as a, "hook". A hook is very much what is sounds like, it is meant to grab your listener in. You want to peak their interest right at the start of your speech so that they want to hear more! A good hook will peak your listeners interest.
Marketing for Small Businesses
Creating a marketing plan for your small business is in many cases the deciding factor in whether or not you have a successful business. "Do I even have a desirable product?" "How am I supposed to get the word out?" "And how am I to do this on my limited budget?" are huge stumbling blocks for many looking to market their small business.
When you are thinking about marketing for your small business you must first have confidence in the product or service that you are trying to market. Do you really understand your target audience? Ask yourself:

How to build brand loyalty:
Building brand loyalty can be much like taking care of a pet. It has less to do with the brand you feed them, and more to do with the way you treat them. As long as you continue feeding and loving your pet he will return your love by loving you. As a company you will need both to provide the needed products to your consumers as well as keep your customers happy.
Providing the product is not only about creating a product you think is in demand, but it takes researching the market to find out what is in demand. If you have a product, or you know what it is that you will be producing than researching the market is still important. You must find out what is currently being offered in the market you are entering, what needs that product is meeting, and what needs it has left to meet.

Direct marketing on a shoestring budget:
Direct Marketing is a manner of marketing that cuts out the middle man of marketing, advertising agency, public relations services, etc. Direct marketing is simply a way of business sending information directly to their customers and a way for that same business to keep track of how effective the direct marketing campaign was.
Direct marketing may include means such as mail, email, and telemarketing. It is any means by which the company contacts the customer directly. How to brand your non-profit oranization
Branding for a non-profit organization may not seem ultimately as important as branding for a profit organization would, as in a for profit organization you depend on your branding to eventually bring in and bring back customers (thus sustaining the life of your business). Branding is equally important in a nonprofit organization as well though (depending on what you hold as important can even be more important). A well branded nonprofit organization will have more success with raising funds and ultimately be able to help more people through the use of those funds.
So how does one go about branding their nonprofit organization? The process is similar to building a for-profit brand name. The most important part of your branding is going to be the name of your organization. This is how people will recognize you and eventually learn to put their trust in you so it is important you pick a unique name that is going to let people know exactly who you are.

How to use Second Life to build positioning and sell product
Second life is an online virtual world where members can set up a life, in which they can explore, create relationships, and develop socially the more times they return. Game players are referred to as "residents" and they can buy and sell and live in a free market just as they could in the United States. The virtual money traded is US dollars. Although many refer to Second Life as a game, it really is not as it has no winners or losers. It is simply an online meeting spot where people can live a virtual reality. In October 2006 there were one million registered users, and in December 2006 there were two million registered users. At any given time there are ten to twenty thousand people living a virtual life on Second Life. (For additional facts and those stated above please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Life).
Out of curiosity for this virtual world that seems to be attracting people by thousands I opened an account and stepped into a world where I could make and create a world of my own. I was amazed at how life like everything was and at the potential for creating an astounding new life for yourself. I could see why it is attracting people daily by the thousands.

How to not waste money on pay per click advertising
How to not waste money on pay per click advertising:
Pay Per click advertising are the advertisements that pop up on your screen, or on the sides of web pages, and sides of search engines when you are searching for a specific topic or product. Companies pay to have their business advertised so as to bring new and constant traffic to their web sites. You as a company looking into pay per click advertising, have two ways you can budget your money.
The first way is to decide how much you are willing to pay per click on your advertisement. You do not pay the search engine or web page that is sponsoring your advertisement unless your site is clicked on. The kicker is that the more you pay the higher in rank your advertisements will be to the search engine in comparison to your competitors. For instance if you are willing to pay ten cents per click, when you have a competitor who is willing to pay a dollar per click, well then it's not going to be hard for the search engine company to decide who's ad to place up first.

How to Listen to Your Customers: Market Research Tools Anyone Can Use
One of the most dangerous things a business or organization can do in regards to customers is assume. Many companies assume that just because they have not received negative feedback from their customers, they must be satisfied. Or they may assume they know exactly what their customer needs or wants. One of your main goals as a company or organization is to determine what your customer wants, and then make sure you go about delivering. However, there is no need to assume a customer's satisfaction level if you strive to find out what your customer thinks of your services, and there are a number of marketing tools anyone can use to help them better serve their customers.

How to determine the best online business model
A business model is going to be a key factor in any business staying a float as it is the determining factor in how a company makes its profit. Making a profit is the reason most people start a business in the first place, so deciding on a business model before selling your product is going to be necessary.
The most basic of business models is the one I implemented at age six when I and my cousin teamed up to co-own a rock gathering and distributing company. The business model was simple: we provided a product, and sold it to our customers. We even added in an additional service by loading the rocks in our little red wagon and wheeling that wagon straight up to the customer's door. In this way our customers didn't even have to leave the comfort of their home to receive the goods we provided (usually collected from off the sidewalk in front of their home). This basic business model worked well for us since the product cost us nothing so we had only to sell a few rocks before earning the desired two dollars and being able to enter into a complete and very content retirement.
