Establishing your brand through effective marketing techniques

Establishing a brand is a big part of marketing, and it is an important aspect of keeping your company going. So, when you think marketing, think about the effective marketing techniques that will help establish your brand. For example, radio advertising can be silly, loud, obnoxious, or serious, etc. so which is best for branding your company how you want it to be?

The following are some tips for establishing your brands through effective marketing techniques:

First off you have to have a good name. A rose by any other name might smell as sweet, but would it be as recognizable. No. So pick the perfect name. The following are some of the things that you want to consider when picking a name for your product or service:

- Choose a name that enhances the company image.
- Choose a name that is appropriate for the product.
- Choose a name that is not being used by others.
- Choose a name that is easy to pronounce in other languages.
- Choose a name that is not going to have negative connotations when translated.
- Choose a name that is not vulgar.
- Choose a name that is short.
- Choose a name that is apt.
- Choose a name that is easy to spell.
- Choose a name that is memorable.
- Choose a name that you like.

Next you want to determine what attributes you want associated with your brand, and the best way to get those. Some of the ways are obvious. For example, you may want the following service attributes:

- Creativity
- Friendliness
- Courtesy
- Knowledge ability
- Helpfulness

To get these you would need to hire the right people and train your staff appropriately. But you are going to market that you have these people to help draw potential customers in.

If you want the following product attributes you will have to test them out and know what it is your market is looking for:

- Value
- Usefulness
- Reliability
- Durability
- Aesthetic value

So now that you know what you want from your brand, and you have chosen a name for it, it is time to get marketing that helps promote this identity. You are going to want to create stationary, and packaging, and uniforms etc. that all have an easily recognizable logo on them. You will want to choose colors for this that are appropriate for your identity. So, promote your own identity by putting your logo and colors on everything. So every thing you mail out will have your logo on it. Every thing people wear at your work will promote the business, etc. This is marketing for brand establishment.

You also need to make sure in your marketing techniques and efforts that you maintain brand values. If you are going to advertise knowledgeable staff, you had better train your staff really well so that they are actually knowledgeable. If you are going to say you have the best prices in town, do your research and make sure you actually do have the best prices in town.

Your advertising should promote who you are, but you have to decide what that is going to be. So, if you are going to boast big breasted women with a tight figure as the server of your hot wings and beers, make sure you have the staff to meet the description, or it is time to change your marketing campaign. The techniques you employ are going to be those that saturate the market with your image, that enforce the colors that you have chosen, your logo, and most importantly your brand ideals.
