How to build strong products and what does marketing have to do with it?How to build strong products and what does marketing have to do with it? Building strong products means knowing what the market will want. That is where marketing has to do with the products you sell. As you create a market analysis, you will find that the consumers have needs for products. If you build those products to match the market needs, then you will have reached the goal of making a product that will have a higher chance for selling.
In your market analysis you will find five basic factors that will let you know what you can sell in that market. Those five factors are, need, availability, competition, price and consistency. 1. When you look at the need of the market, your analysis will let you know if the consumers in your area are looking for those products. It will tell you if there is a need for those products in your market. Knowing what your market needs will empower you to create a product that will sell easier on the basis that the consumer will buy what they need. The areas you are marketing and selling your product will matter significantly in the end result. This is because a product may sell easier in one area, than it would in another area. 2. Availability is the next factor that will weigh heavily on the products you build and sell. If there are products similar to yours on the market, then if your product does not have special features or qualities, then you will be faced with a more challenging market to sell to. This is especially true if your competitor can offer the product for a lower cost. Then you will find that the consumer will look for the better deal. However, it your product has special qualities or features, then the consumer will be more likely to purchase that product. 3. What is your competition? Do they already have a strong standing in your market. Will you be able to create a strong enough product that in the saturated market; your product will still hold value over your competitors. As you evaluate the market and your competitors, you may find that if there is so much saturation in the market, you will want to either move to a market that is less saturated, or create a product that is truly unique. If you price a good product too high, you will find that even if there is plenty of need, and little competition, that the product still may not sell. This is where you will want to check your margin against the actual price of the product in order to sell a product at a fair and profitable price. 5. You will want to build a strong product that will sell consistently. If it is a seasonal product, then you will either need to be prepared for dry spells in sells, or offer products that change with the seasons. Variation is a great thing to have with any product line you offer. This is because variety is always attractive to the consumer. This also includes the use of improvements of a product line. Much similar to upgrades, people want to buy the next best thing. With this thought in mind you will find that you will secure a stronger hold on the market if you keep up with the changes. With these factors in mind it will be easier for your business to build a strong product that will work in the market you are in. This is what marketing has to do with creating the right market for the consumer. Search our site for more information: Rate This Post
