There are a number of different ways to market these days, from the internet to print. Many companies chose to market on the internet because it reaches a much younger market and can be much cheaper, while others choose to market the traditional way in print. Marketing in print reaches a whole different market and has added possibilities. Here is looking at marketing in print.

Here are the possibilities of print media:
Print media has always been a popular advertising method. There are a number of different print media to advertise with. Brochures, flyers, product catalogs, direct mail, product packaging and trade journal advertising play a vital role in communicating your brand and your products and services to new and existing customers. Newspapers and magazines also play an important part in displaying what it is that your company is and does. Obviously, this has been a very popular way of advertising for years now. Print advertising tends to lean more to the older generations than the younger ones. This is a form of advertising they are use to and grew up with, unlike the younger generations. So, this can target a very different audience, it just depends on what audience you are looking for. Here are some examples of print media:

Newspapers and magazines
Marketing in print products such as newspapers or magazines is a common practice. A lot of times the newspapers and magazines sell advertising space on however large of an area you want and where you want it located. Marketing your product in a new or less popular newspaper will cost far less than placing an advertisement in a popular newspaper where there are many readers. Again, this may end up costing a bit more than the internet, but you also reach a different audience, which could be very beneficial for your business.

Flyers and brochures
Things such as promotional brochures and fliers are also available for marketing purposes. These are used to present information about your business and its capabilities, products or services. All of your company's printed material should go along side with your marketing message and your company image. Brochure contents range from information about your company to specific product features and benefits. Flyers are frequently used to announce a sale, open house or other limited-time event. Both of which are very different from an ad in the newspaper or marketing on the internet. These are very convenient to be able to hand out to your customers or other potential clients.

Direct mail marketing
Direct mail is one of the most common forms of direct marketing in use today. Marketers have used direct mail marketing for many years to get their message across. From direct letter marketing to postcards, it's a very versatile and great marketing channel.

Product catalogs
Putting your product in a catalog is the best way to sell your item. About half of consumers shop by catalogs and especially by catalogs online. Marketing with print catalogs are one of the biggest factors in generating customer orders for catalogers. Consumers who receive catalogs are more likely to become frequent buyers, with on average 15% more transactions, and will spend on average 16% more than customers who did not receive these product catalogs. These are very good for business!

As you can see there are many ways to market in print. All are very beneficial to business. Depending on what you are trying to accomplish with your marketing or what market you are trying to target these are great ways to get those things/
