Marketing tactics worth paying for

The biggest problem with any marketing program is that you never have much to show for the money that you have invested. For example, with buying equipment you are going to be able to use the equipment that you purchased, so you can see what you are getting for your money. With a marketing program, you are paying money, but you might not always see the results. The reason for this is that your marketing program is designed to increase sales so that your business becomes profitable. The problem is that you can easily spend thousands of dollars on your marketing program and have little sales to show for it. The thing that you need to keep in mind is that you do need to pay for your marketing program because you need to spend money to make money.

What you want to think about when spending money on your marketing program is what marketing tactics you are spending money on. With marketing tactics, some are better than others are, so you want to ensure that you are spending money on the right marketing tactics for your business. Here are some of the marketing tactics that are worth spending money on.

Number one: Referral program

How a referral program works online is that you allow your customers to send their family and friends a coupon or something similar that is worth so much money off their purchase. When the users cash in on the coupon the customer who sent out the coupon is credited a certain amount of money into their account. You can also make it to where the referral coupons work for every purchase, meaning that every time a new customer that was referred to your website from a current customer makes a purchase the customer that referred the new customer gets a dollar amount credited towards their next purchase or in an account.

Number two: Defining the market

You need to spend money to see if your product is going to sell in the market, you want to make sure that people are going to be willing to purchase your product. One of the best ways to do this is the market surveys, which can be done online, through the mail or over the phone. If you are considering surveys how much you spend on them a year is going to depend on if you only do specific styles of surveys and what company you use to do the surveys. Zoomerang charges $599 a year for a subscription and Survey Monkey offers subscriptions starting at $20 a month.

Number three: Website

You will need to have a website that you can get the most out of. With your website, you want to create a website that tells people why they should spend the time shopping with your business and the money on your product. You will also want to set aside a certain amount of money, around a few thousand, so that you can get your website noticed by the bigger search engines. To be noticed by the bigger search engines you will need to buy key words and work on search engine optimization.

Number four: Email marketing

You want to pay for an effective email marketing campaign that is designed to be noticed through all of the spam that people receive; you want your emails to be noticed so you will have to pay that to happen. Getting your emails noticed will get more people into your store or visiting your website. Constant Contact, an email marketer, charges you $15 a month to send emails out to 500 addresses, $30 will allow you to send emails to 2,500 addresses. StreamSend charges $6 for 500 and $50 will get you 50,000 email addresses. Both companies require that you provide the email addresses, which can be bought from list purveyors.
