Quality customer service to retain customers

ladyonphone30745252.jpgDid you know that 80% of your product sales come from your existing customers? What are you doing to show these customers how important they really are to your company? Are you sending out direct mail pieces to them that shows them how much you appreciate them? Checking up on your customers often is the only way in which you can retain your customers as you want to provide them with the highest level of quality possible.

Listen
You must be able to listen to your customers and what they need. Customer feedback and surveys can help you to find out what you need to do in order to change the way you are currently helping your customers. You will need to look into sending out surveys to your customers online because they are cheaper then doing them via mail. You do need to be very careful about the way in which word the questions as they can become very frustrating to your customers when they feel like they are sitting in a 20 minute question seminar. When you listen to your customers and you respond to them, you need to focus on showing your customers that you have heard them. Post a marketing campaign that says you have changed your products or that you have focused on changing the company for the better for your customers. Customers that know they are being listened to feel better about the company if you offer what they need.

Go above and beyond
You also want to focus on going above and beyond to show your existing customers that you want to keep them happy and that you are focused on pleasing them. Add a little extra touch to their orders. One simple thing you can do is to add a little thank-you message to your orders that is hand-signed by you. When you go above and beyond and try to give your customers more than they are looking for, you will become a stronger company and they will be happier with you and your services.

Customer service

A big part of keeping your customers happy comes down to the way in which you interact with your customers. Customer service is essential to the way in which you are focusing on helping your customers. Do you sort out their problems in a hurry? When it takes you a long time to resolve customer problems, you aren't going to stay in business for long. The customer will know that you are trying your best to resolve the problem in a timely manner and it helps you to build a stronger company.

Know what motivates them
In order to be able to provide quality customer service you want to understand what motivates your customers to buy your products. Motivation to buy your products and to continue supporting your company will help you understand if you need to price your products differently or if you need to market them better. If you have customers that are motivated by price you want to focus on limited time offer promotions as this will motivate them to buy your products. Almost every purchase your company has will come down to negotiation of price. Always know that your existing customers may try to gain some leverage with you in order to lower the price on their orders so you may need to look into smaller promotions and other ways to keep them happy. When a customer feels like they are actually saving money right then, which makes them feel better about their purchase.

Always put the customer focus and make special efforts to let them know how much they mean to you and the success of your business.
