A few fundamentals of successful marketing include: Know the purpose of marketing.
PR, or public relations, handles the image of the company itself, whereas marketing is concerned primarily with products. A public relations professional is more concerned with the public's view of the company and the company's reputation rather than trying to get the public to purchase the products. Have a plan. Identify a target market and niche. Determine pricing. Continually evaluate your strategy. You should also be tracking your success through sales numbers as well. If your profits have increased after a particular campaign or task, you can assume your marketing campaign was successful.
