Using the holidays as a guide for your marketing plan
The first tip is to market the same sales during certain holidays ever year. For example if you own a fabric store for every holiday have a sale where the colors of the holidays are the items that are on sale. For example during Halloween any Orange fabric could be the fabric that is one sale. The reason for doing this is so that people get an idea that they know around certain holidays you do certain things and it might actually make people hold off buying things from other stores because they know that you have an annual sale around a certain holiday where they can stock up.
The second tip is to give a certain percentage off of certain purchases. For example have a 40% off coupon or a 50% off coupon that comes out with your ad around a certain holiday so that people have a reason to come in and shop at your store. This is a great way to get people into your store because then once they come in they will start to look around and end up buying more because they find so many things that they like. The third tip is to have a certain sale during certain hours. For example a lot of business do a day after Thanksgiving sale where they have a lot of cheap prices between certain hours of the day. You can try this tactic around any holiday. Of course a lot of people are looking for these kind of sales Around Thanksgiving and before Christmas so this is a good time to take advantage of those types of marketing. The fourth tip is to have some sort of blow out around a holiday. Statistics have shown that people love to shop around holidays no matter what holiday it is. Because of this if you market that you are having a blow out sale around Memorial day or the Fourth of July people are going to want to come see what they sale is all about. Especially if you are blowing out summer things that they can still go out and use. The fifth tip is to see what hot items are in demand that you business is selling and market a sale for them around a holiday. People think that if there is a sale around a holiday they are getting a better deal then if the sale is any other time of the year.
