What is inbound marketing?
The ability to call the consumer from a list or the idea of using outbound telemarketing has been minimized due to the DNCR or do not call registry that was brought about by the federal trade commission.
The way this is done, is by setting up other avenues of communication and advertising through the Internet, web pages, prize boxes, drawings, free trials, IVR or Interactive voice response systems and much more. Getting the information to the customer was key. Using these forms of forward thinking has increased overall profits for many businesses, because the traditional telemarketing plans had been diminishing as the consumer has decided they are the ones to make the choice. Inbound calling is marketing and promoting a business with the customer's permission. In the competitive market we live in today, it is key to accept that the customer wants that control. The relationships that can be built through inbound marketing are something that can make the deals for your business come pouring in. This is also because of the customer's choice. If a customer likes you, you can get business from them from their friends and family. You will not only be looking at word of mouth, but you can ask a satisfied customer if they have any friends or family who might be interested in the product or service you provide. These are friendly leads, and do not consider the same on the do not call registry. It will also give you a fantastic opening to market the next customer. When you use these different types of marketing in order to have inbounded calls occur, you are building relationships with your customers on a different level. This is because there is more trust when a person has a choice. Think about the last time you picked up the phone, the pause was there, then some person was talking 100 miles per hour. You will hear the reason they are talking so fast is because they hope that they can get to the product they are selling, before you hang up. This does not work. That is a reason that so many of us hate telemarketers. They do not want to know you or find out what you need. All they care about is getting your money, at least initially. That is not something I want to have my dinner interrupted for. If you were approached in a way that was your option, it is more likely that you would want to take more time to talk to the sales person. When the person you are talking to is someone you call, and is more interested in your needs, you will more often purchase the products they are selling. This is because you are getting the attention you want. You don't feel like you are being used. That is what inbound marketing is all about. It is the use of means, in order to have customers calling your business, and give you an opportunity to build a relationship with the customer, and fill their needs.
