If you have a small business and are working to become a mid level business, taking it to the next level could be difficult. It takes a lot of time and hard work, but in the end it will be worth it. Here some things to do as you are working to become a mid level business:

Create more customers:

Obviously the most important way to take your small business to a mid level business is to have customers and plenty of them. If you are not keeping in touch with your customers, then someone else will. Keep track of your customers and contact them throughout the year to let them know of any promotions or new products you have. This will keep them coming back. Better marketing:
Focus on one service or a product, if your business permits, and then find ways to market it. Sell it, promote it, do all that you can to increase sales of that one product or service. Try to just pick a product or two that you can market really well.

If you sell to a particular market more than others, start selling to different individuals. For instance: if you sell to older adults, try marketing to younger ones-if you sell predominantly to teens, try selling your product to young adults.

More advertising:
Advertising can be crucial to expanding your small business to a mid level business. The more people you let know about your company, the more business you will generate. There are a number of ways you can advertise through: television, radio, newspaper, the internet, business cards and community involvement.These advertising ideas can effectively reach your target market and attract new customers.

Look to expanding your business in other locations and states. Having your company in different locations will generate new business. Even if you open a smaller office on the other side of town, this can make your business more visible to others.

A mid-level company is usually run with 100-500 employees. This may take some time to build up to, but you will need the extra help once your business is booming. Always remember to take care of your employees after all they are the ones who help you run your business.

Franchising:
While most small businesses remain small, you might consider franchising or wholesale distribution. If your business can be converted into a business that somebody else could operate, or if you have a product or service that someone could resell wholesale, you should look into that option.
