Videocasting is the newest phenomenon in the internet marketing and internet communications world. It is podcasting, but with video feed instead of just audio. To videocast you need software, the following are some suggestions for affordable videocasting and podcasting software:

Windows videopodcast software- There are several options for videocasting and podcasting software for windows users. The following are categorized according to how popular they are:

iPodderX - This is a cross-platform media aggregator that handles podcasts, vlogs and other files distributed using newsfeeds. It is great for any of your vlogging or podcasting, or videocasting needs.

Juice - (which was previously known as iPodder) Lets users select and download shows and music and to play whenever they want on their iPods, portable digital media players, or computers automatically. This is a great device, but you would need other supporting software.

Nimiq - Nimiq is a great choice if you want to subscribe to a podcast or videocast, as Nimiq automatically downloads audio and video enclosures.

BitsCast - This is a freeware RSS/podcast reader that supports both iPods and Microsoft Media PlaysForSure devices.

BlogMatrix Sparks! - While this is better for podcasting, this is a great all-in-one podcasting solution that lets you record, mix, share, publish, store and listen to your casts.

CITA RSS Aggregator - This is a little more advances, and is an RSS feed reader that includes keyword alerts, support for password login, per-channel settings, proxy support, support for RSS enclosures and a tool to remove persistent adverts from RSS feeds.

CustomReader - If you have a website and want to match your cast to the site, this is the choice. It is a customizable podcast client that can be "branded" to match a website.

Doppler - Doppler is a podcast aggregator, which means it should also work for videocasting. It's a tool to subscribe to RSS feeds which supply downloadable files. Doppler will go out and fetch the files enclosed in the RSS feed and will automatically add them to your preferred media player.

There are literally thousands of options for pod and videocasting software, however the mentioned software options are either free, or relatively inexpensive and worth the cost as they are easy to use and compatible with your computer, ipod, etc.

When in doubt of which videocasting software to choose, choose whatever software is recommended by the most common viewing device. As long as your aggregator works, and your RSS feed is available for people to view, the software you have chosen does not make a ton of difference.
