There are many things in this world that cannot run on ther own. Most things cannot run on their own. They require a system of a lot of things working together to make one thing work.

One such thing would be a car. A car cannot run on its own. It needs an engine, fuel, wheels, brakes . . . It also requires that you put the key in and turn it on. But that is an obvious step.

Something else like this would be a home. A home cannot stand without a frame, insullation, sheet rock, paint, flooring, furniture . . . there are so many components that go into making it stand and stay standing forever.

There are even more such things that are similar to this. One such thing would be a book, believe it or not. A book is not just a story. There is much more to it than that. If it were only a story it would have to be told by mouth.

It requires paper so it can be written, a cover to protect it and such, it needs to be edited so that it turns out nicely, it needs to be bound so that it ends up looking like a book. There are so many things that go into making a simple little book be able to work as a whole.

Just like a car cannot run on its own, a home cannot stand on its own and a book cannot be a book in and of itself, satellite TV cannot run without all the necessary equipment.

You do not just purchase satellite TV and then you turn on your TV and by magic you all of a sudden have TV that is hundreds of times better than it was. It requires a lot of different parts.

The first part would be the satellite. Somewhere way up in space, the satellite floats. It just sits, waiting for be used by all the hundreds of antennas everywhere. This satellite gives of signals. The signals are magical things.

The component is the satellite antenna. This antenna is a very important part in the process, as they all are. Remember how the satellite is up in space giving of signals? Well the antenna is down one earth, hooked to your home, reading those signals. That is right. It connects to the satellite and reads the signals it is putting off.

The antenna then takes these signals and transmits them through the satellite cable to the reciever. The satellite cable is important because it connects the antenna to the receiver. It allows all the necessary information to be passed along into your home to eventually be displayed on your TV.

Once the receiver receives the information, it displays it on your TV. Not only does it display it but it also presents it in a very helpful menu. This way you do not have to flip through all you hundreds of channels to find what you want. You just look up what you want in the menu. It is very nice.

So from the satellite to the antenna to the cable to the receiver to your TV, all the satellite equipment works together to help you to have working, running, satellite TV.
