What are the things that you can do that will promote a healthier body? What are some of the things that you do to stay healthy? Employees will look to your example so you need to make sure you are practicing what you preach. The promotions you offer need to include health of the mind as well as the body. Hiring a staff psychiatrist is a wise options as they too will be able to provide help with mental problems and emotional problems that can be plaguing some of your employees.

Several companies have started offering employee assistance programs and health savings accounts. Employee assistance programs typically center around not only the health of the employee but also the health of the employee's entire family. Can you partner with a gym or another fitness organization to provide your employees with access to the gym or at least discounts to the gym or a fitness center? Some companies have even found that placing an on-site fitness center will motivate employees to start exercising and losing weight or working on getting healthier. If you have an on-site center let your employees know where it is and what they need to do in order to use it. When people have the information they need, it's much easier for them to find the motivation they need to exercise and to get healthy.

Go outside for meetings. If you have staff meetings that don't require a PowerPoint or other presentations, take your employees outside so they can have some fresh air and some fresh sunlight. Some companies have even started taking one-on-one meetings outside where they can walk around the building or on a trail with the employee. Do your part to bring exercise and health into the daily working environment and your staff will notice the impact and the difference it does have on their bodies and their overall mental outlook. When employees are healthier and they are happier, they have an easier time getting motivated to work hard and will have a stronger impact and influence on your other employees.
