How a wellness program improves health
Tip # 1 - Exercise If your employees exercise each day for at least 30 minutes, they are less-likely to get sick with the flu and common colds. Their immune systems are stronger and they are able to cope with stress and other situations easier. Tip # 2 - Goodbye to Junk Food The foods that are in the junk machine often are the reason why your employees have spare tires around their midsections. Sugary sodas and treats go straight to the gut and increase the risk of heart disease and cancer. If you replace the foods with healthier snacks like apple chips, rice cakes, vegetables, and meat snacks, your employees may start to lose some weight and they will feel better. Eating right also helps to improve your energy levels and memory capabilities. While you cannot control all the food your employees eat, you can at least take away the temptation for many of them. At staff meeting, bring in some meat and cheese trays over pizza. Offer some fresh fruits and vegetables over doughnuts and bagels. Do small things to start to encourage your employees to eat better and improve their health. Tip # 3 - Reduce Germs Everyone knows that germs spread quickly, which is why it is vital to your health to wash your hands often. Bring some antibacterial hands wipes and wash the doorknobs, phones, keyboards, mice, desks, and other areas that are commonly touched. If you can reduce the germs in your office, you may be able to reduce the spread of head colds and infectious diseases. Search our site for more information: Rate This Post
