Resistance Ball:

Resistance balls are newly popularized but trainers know they have been around for a long time. They are great for toning, shaping, and sculpting a person's body. A resistance ball provides people with the opportunity to receive an aerobic and toning work out in just one work out session.

One of the more popular resistance balls is included in a program created by Gunnar Peterson titled, "Core Secrets." The core secrets program includes not only the resistance ball but also DVD's that gives the person personalized training session with Gunnar Peterson. Gunnar Peterson has worked with a number of Hollywood Stars, including Brook Burke, from E!'s, "Wild On," and Nick Lachey, most recently known for his MTV show, "Newlyweds," with ex-wife Jessica Simpson.

Unlike other resistance ball programs, Gunnar Peterson claims his program will help a person to tone and shape their abdomen section quicker and faster than a person would be able to using another resistance ball program. Gunnar Peterson claims that he is able to target a persons midsection and lower back more effectively because of the wide variety of work outs his programs require. Through using many different muscle groups a person is going to train the whole of their abdomen (each muscle group individually) rather than focusing only on one group of abdomen muscles.

A person using the resistance ball program is going to find aerobic as well as muscle toning benefits. The aerobic exercise is found in training the upper and lower portion of a persons body continuously for a set amount of time. In Gunnar Peterson's Program, "Core Secrets," the set amount of time for each session is 25 minutes. Gunnar Peterson claims by getting aerobic exercise in this way a person will burn more calories than they would doing just aerobic or weight training alone.

The muscle toning benefits are going to be found in a series of stretching and holding positions, lifting and holding the ball, and consistent muscle challenges which will be applied to each individual muscle group. With Gunnar Petersons, "Core Secrets," program he claims a persons core will be involved the entire workout, for each of his different work out sessions, thus strengthening, and quickly toning a persons "core", or abdomen and lower back.

Though Gunnar Peterson has a great work out program, it is not only his resistance ball and program in which a person will find great results for their core. Because of the necessity of balancing ones self on the ball through out whomever's work out that person is following, that person will have to continually be using their core to do that balancing, thus throughout the work out they will be continually training their core muscles.

Resistance balls are also a great exercise program to get into because they travel easily. A resistance ball is easily deflated and blown up. It can also fold small and tight for tight spaces.
Resistance ball workouts are also great because to get the maximum benefits from whichever program a person has chosen to do they will need virtually no space at all. Thus they work outs can be done at home, in a gym, outside, or even in a hotel room.

Gunnar Peterson sells only one size of resistance ball but resistance balls do come in all shapes and sizes. It is best for each individual to choose their size dependent on their height so as to make sure their feet can touch the floor when the ball if blown up to it's full capacity.

Resistance balls make a perfect all in one work out program. Through the resistance ball program a person will be able to tone and burn calories at the same time. It is quick, challenging, and fun, especially for those who desire to work out but need to do so in there homes.
