The Work From Home Revolution

Keywords: Internet Home Businesses

The work from home revolution on the Internet is in full swing. There has never been a better time or opportunity to make money online working at home in front of your computer.

I have joined several opportunities and affiliate programs over the last 3 years and it's now becoming apparent that YES I can make a full time income off of the internet. And you can too.

With so many people using the Internet and so many opportunities to make money it has become easier than ever to make money online. If you already have your own web site your already on the right track. If you do not yet have a web site, GET ONE.

I have 6 web sites now, and every one of them is making me money. Of coarse creating your own site is only the first step. You will need to first choose a theme for your website then find good content related to that theme. Once you have done that you need to advertise your site.

Learn How to Market Your eBusiness in Real Time: Dissect, Study, Emulate

Keywords: eBusiness Marketing

Everything you will ever need to know about internet marketing is plainly available to you everywhere you go on the internet. All you need to do is dissect, study, and emulate these methods and you invariably will become just as successful as the people who created them.

How do I know this? Because I use this exact pratice to make money with my own online businesses and newsletters. Whenever I have a problem, I look to other successful internet marketers and see how they have overcome these same obstacles I am facing.

Some people will tell you must buy a certain ebook or internet marketing course to become successful. This is not true. Informational products do have their merits, but it is important to understand that a lot of them become out-dated immediately after publication.

The online marketplace changes very rapidly and the best, most successful internet marketers change with it. A good traffic-building tactic one day may be ineffective the next. If you hinge your entire business plan around this single idea you read in an ebook, and that idea ends up being outdated, then you will fail.

Identifying Some Common Work At Home Success Characteristics

Keywords: Home Business

Do people that are successful in home based businesses share some common characteristics and, if so, what are the primary ones?

The dictionary defines successful as:

*having a favorable outcome, or
*having obtained something desired or intended, or
*having achieved wealth or eminence

When applied to a home business, I think the definition of the word successful involves a combination of financial gain, time flexibility, and being able to call your own shots (being your own boss). The order of importance will vary from person to person.

I have had the good fortune to be quite successful with home-based internet businesses. No, that is not completely accurate, I have had success because I have invested a lot of sweat equity in my work at home business activities.

Having spent many years in the corporate world, I am a firm believer in the team aspect of business and so I naturally gravitated toward network marketing instead of trying to go solo selling products/services and competing with the big players like Yahoo, Amazon and the other well known names.

After doing considerable research, I found a very well established and financially solid internet-based company to work with. Using my business experience in the "offline world" and developing my internet marketing skills on the fly in an OJT (aka: on-the-job-training) format, things have gone very well and I recently spent some time trying to identify some of the primary traits that are common in my most successful team members.

The Life Blood of Internet-Based Home Businesses...Search Engines

Keywords: Internet Home Businesses

Anyone involved in an Internet-based home business will soon come to recognize the importance of search engines as a vehicle to attract potential customers.

Since the inception of Google in 1998, the popularity of using search engines has increased dramatically. Nielsen NetRatings reports that about 114.5 million Americans, or a whopping 39 percent of the US population, currently use search engines.

Through February of 2004, Yahoo and Microsoft's MSN ranked as the two favorite spots on the Internet with 87.3 million and 86.2 million unique monthly visitors, respectively, according to figures produced by Nielsen NetRatings.

Microsoft.com, ranked third, with 64.2 million visitors, but this figure is somewhat misleading because this site attracts much of its traffic by repairing flaws in the Windows operating system. Google was the fourth most popular site with 60.8 million visitors.

The market shares of MSN and Yahoo haven't changed much in the past three years while Google has emerged as a powerhouse without spending much of anything on advertising. Google's audience is now approximately six times larger than it was in early 2001, when it was the 26th most popular destination on the Internet.

3 Steps To Home Business Success

Keywords: Home Business Success

If you own a home business, there are 3 things you absolutely, positively must have, if you want to be successful:

1. You must have a guru or mentor:

If you aren't proficient in Internet marketing, website design and copywiting--and most people aren't, do the smart thing and seek out an Internet marketing expert to help you. This can be a huge financial advantage for you, because 90 percent of those individuals coming online don't have a clue what their doing. And instead of doing the smart thing and seeking out an expert for help, they'll just struggle along trying this and that and losing money, until they're finally forced out of business.

2. You must have a back-up plan:

Not having a back-up plan for your home business is like being stuck out in the desert with a flat tire and no spare. You just aren't going anywhere. Sometimes, try as hard as we might, our ideas just don't work and we have to scrap them. That's why you should always have a back-up plan. Give your home business every chance to succeed, but if you sense it's not going to happen, don't be afraid to pull the plug on it and move on to plan "B."

Ancient Warrior Secrets For The Modern Entrepreneur

Keywords: Entrepreneurs

The words you see onscreen trigger subconscious responses. Dark images penetrate your mind. Your heartbeat increases slightly. Your muscles tighten. Like a warrior advancing to combat, you prepare to engage with your market. Ready, aim, fire. You send an email! Everyday, military metaphors are projected across our computer screens. Guerrilla marketing. Market penetration. Global domination. Competitive intelligence and more. How do you approach your marketing, your business? At the end of the day, do you feel like you have been in battle? Suffering battle fatigue.

War is just metaphor for the application of force. By understanding the nature of war, you can apply this understanding to business. You can apply the principles of war with elegance or with crudeness. It is like knowing the difference between a charging gladiator and a meditating warrior-monk.

Here are some warrior secrets that have been derived from traditional Maori martial arts and modern military tactics. Adapt and apply some of these principles into your life and business.

1. The Power of Oneness. When tracking and observing, you need to become one with your environment. The trees, the insects, the wildlife become your eyes and ears. The forest becomes part of your body. In order to reach this level of feeling, you need to become one with yourself. This power of oneness begins with the point of stillness. You need to slow down your thinking and relax into yourself. Slow down your thoughts so that you can sense your own body. Tense muscles. Nervous responses. Stressed breathing. Just slow down and take time out from your busy work environment. Spend an hour of slow thinking each day. Do nothing during this hour then move when you are ready. The modern entrepreneur is like a scout, silently observing then moving with swift, efficient actions.

* Is it because you cannot stand the thought of working for an uptight, demanding, and perfectly dreadful boss?

* Is it because you cannot bear the thought of going through another downsizing or restructuring, knowing that your job could be on the line?
