The pros and cons of using independent accountants
An independent accountant is a person who works for himself and has the skills and the qualifications necessary to perform extremely well in his profession. He is contracted out to business owners to perform some of the required services without the status of being an employee. They work hard to keep their clients happy and to earn their paychecks from their own independent business. This is probably why this person is called an "independent" accountant. There are many more independent contractors in their own practices such as doctors, lawyers, plumbers and so forth. The best thing about hiring an independent accountant is that he's very proficient and is highly specialized in the type of work that he does. He has training and experience in the field of his profession, which is in this case "accounting", and can be very flexible to the needs and the time period you expect the workload to be done for your company. As a business owner, you will have the chance to add work to your independent accountant as you need and during slow periods to use his services occasionally without feeling guilty. He was never hired to work for you full time but only as needed basis and he's fully aware of that. Hiring an independent accountant also allows you to cut down on expenses such as health benefits. You don't need to have him be on your monthly payroll and pay him while he's on vacation. This is definitely a huge benefit to your business. He's also paid when the project is completely finished and that you are satisfied with his work. If you only have a few projects a year, it is good for the company too because it will help to eliminate idle time between projects.
In order for an independent accountant to stay in business, he really has to do the best job he can and truly please the person who hires him. He likes referrals because that's how he makes his money and keeps himself employed. Most businesses like to hire independent contractors including accountants to help them out with some specific tasks with no strings attached after their work is done. They like the thought of having someone work on what their company needs at that time. Search our site for more information: Rate This Post
