There are so many different things that you need to do in order to market your company. Managing your company's reputation is one of the things that you really need to work on. Having a strong reputation will allow customers to learn information about you in a timely manner. It makes it much easier for them to gather quick information about the products you sell along with the customer service that you have. Lets look at some of the different ways in which you can focus on managing your reputation.

Blogging
When people blog they really can say anything that they want about your company. This is why you need to start up your own blog and to focus on getting people to pay attention to what you have to say.You can clear up any rumors or false information about your company with your own blog since you have full control over the content that is out there. When you blog leave your company open to information from others so you can learn about what the customers want to hear. You need to be open with truthful information for your customers. This makes it easier for them to trust you and will make it much easier for your customers to find accurate information.

Social Networking
One other area where you need to focus on is social media. A bad post can spread like wildfire on social networking sites and it doesn't take long for people to make up lies about your company. You have to be focused on social networking as it helps you to get information out there quickly before other people can post false information about your company. Read up on the information that people are saying and quickly repost information that is factual from your organization. YouTube videos and other things can get up online pretty quickly so you must really work on responding quickly in order to get the right information out to your customers.

Press Release
If there has been a large crisis about your company you must get the right information out in a hurry. A press release to the media is one of the best ways in which you can focus on getting information out to your customers in a timely manner. They will be able to see that you have factual information to send out and will reprint it for you as long as it is valid. A press release is an easy way for you to quickly educate your customers and to act quickly when negative information is spread.

Customer Service
A great way to manage your reputation is with your employees. You must focus on proper customer service. Having strong customer service is the best line of defense that you have since it shows your customers what your company is really all about. They will learn first-hand from your staff what is truthful and what is not truthful. Customer service needs to make the customers feel like they are incredibly important to your organization and you need to show them just how special they are by treating them right.

Don't Attack
Never attack the other companies that are saying lies. Respond with truthful information as it shows you are taking the high road and it will make your company look a lot better. You need to be very diligent in your strategy so you come out looking like the company that is strong and the one people really want to work with. There are 5 things to remember when you are dealing with reputation:
1. Focus on your brand
2. Share the truth
3. Listen to your customers and respond to the false information
4. Engage your employees to focus on customer service
5. Stick to the truth, it always wins
