You get to choose your hours of work. You get to choose when to vacation. You get to manage the money that is used concerning your home business. You get to work with family, by yourself, or hire employees. It's up to you, because you are the boss. Being your own boss isn't always fun and games however. You have to make sure there is enough inventory. You have to make sure the profits made are being used to increase business revenue. Some days you are sick and you still have to work. Sometimes being the boss of your own home business interferes with your home life. Sometimes being your own boss with a home business will require you to hire and possibly fire employees.
So you are you own boss with a home business, and you get to choose your own hours. As with everything there is good and bad to making your own work hours. You can choose to work Monday through Friday, in the mornings only. Wow that would be great. But there will be the days that you will have to work until midnight, just to make sure deadlines are met. Or work on Saturday to make sure that you are ready for mail on Monday to send off products. Being your own boss you will have to take the time to make sure the home business runs smooth. This takes time and you working hours and hours. The nice thing about being your own boss and taking a vacation is that you don't have to okay it with anyone. And there is no way someone else already took that day off. You can say, "this is a good time for me and my family to go on a vacation." and go. Then you just have to make arrangements for your business while you are gone. Owning a home business and being your own boss allows you major flexibility for mini vacations too. Being boss you can know when slow times are and take trips then with the family. With a home business you are your own boss because you have to manage the money. This includes inventory purchases, savings for future development, payment of bills, and payroll for employees, to include yourself. As boss of your home business you are the one required to pay taxes and keep any required licenses up to date. All this falls under the boss of a business and the money management. You are definitely your own boss with a home business. You can feel the part of being your own boss when you get to have a great year of business and you get to have a nice year end bonus. Only a boss can say we made enough this year, lets take a nice vacation together as a family. As boss of a home business you will be able to say if you need employees. Maybe your employees are your family members and you can enjoy working with family. But with a home business you as boss will have to decide when it is necessary to hire workers other than family. You really are the boss, as you have to take care of these employees. This includes paying the proper taxes and filling out the right forms for each employee. Being your own boss with a home business requires a lot of work. You have more flexibility for time worked and taken off. You have the responsibility to manage the money for your home business.
