Setting up a work schedule and identifying your priorities is one of the best methods of time management that you can use. Doing this will allow you to effectively work through your schedule and get everything accomplished most days, sometimes things come up and we have to rearrange our schedules. However, this is not your only method when it comes to managing your time. There are many other time management tips that you might find useful for managing both your business and personal life.

Here are some tips to keep in mind to help you manage your business life and your personal life.

Tip one:
Contract out tasks, also called outsourcing. You are going to want to do this for all of the things that you do not have the expertise to complete. If you try to complete the tasks without the knowledge you can end up ruining a customer's order or you can end up messing up some aspect of your business. For example, if you have no experience doing small business taxes hire a tax accountant to get the job done. This ensures that your taxes are filed properly, which will save you money in interest and penalties.

Tip two:
Being with the most worrisome tasks first. This applies no matter what time of the day you are beginning your tasks, you always want to get the ones that are going to cause you stress and anxiety out of the way first. The reason for this is that once you have gotten those done and out of the way it will reduce your stress and anxiety level for the next task, but it will also allow you to focus solely on the task ahead because you will not be worrying about getting the other task done.

Tip three:
If you have a deadline for certain tasks do not wait until the last minute to complete the tasks. You want to get deadline work done as early as possible because it will reduce your stress levels. It will also lighten up your work load and give you some self-confidence in managing your own schedule. It will lighten up your workload because you will have allotted so much time to get the task done up until the day it is due, by finishing it early you will have extra time until the due date.

Tip four:
Know your capacity for stress, meaning know how much stress you can handle before you have a breakdown. Once you have started to hit an overload on your stress level make sure that you take a break. The reason for this is that taking a break when you are stressed will help you to relax and calm down so you can get the job done correctly. If you continue to work while you are stressed you will just succeed in stressing yourself out further and possibly messing up what you are trying to do through frustration.

Tip five:
One of the best things that you can do to help reduce your stress and anxiety levels is to stay organized. It is easy to get organized before you start a task, but even while completing the task you will want to stay organized. Something else that you are going to want to do is at the end of each day take a moment to clean up and organize your desk. You should also make a reminder list for the next day of tasks that need to be done. You can also work on creating a list of tasks that need to be done the following week. If you are working from a list be sure to cross of the tasks that have been completed or throw your list out if everything is done.
