Tips for getting 1000 blog subscribers

stickynotelaptop45383060.jpgHaving subscribers to your blog is how you get traffic to your site, and make your blog a useful SEO tool. But, how do you get subscribers? That is the golden question. Google and other search engines will rate blog subscriptions pretty high in their algorithms to give your rankings.

The first thing you have to do if you want subscribers is be persistent. It is rare that someone creates a blog and is an instant success with it. It may take a year to get it up off the ground and running.

Next, get your name out there. One of the ways to do this is by writing guest posts for other blogs in your industry. Your guests posts may be rejected, but keep at it, and keep writing, try to make them high quality, and eventually they will be accepted. When they are, you will see your subscribers jump because you post on a blog that has a following.

Next, never settle in. In the online world it is key that you always, always, always keep working to improve yourself, your writing, your information, your layout, your everything. When a blog gets stale, people move to other blogs. So, take classes, read other blogs, figure out what works and what doesn't so that you do not make mistakes that could damage your readership.

Spend time on other blogs. If you want to improve your following, don't spend all of your blog time posting to your blog. Spend a third of it posting as a guest blogger so that you can find new readers and become more visible on the web. While it is important to keep existing readers happy, and that will slowly lead to a higher readership, it is equally important to get yourself where you can find new readers. If you don't, you will eventually become stagnant, which is not a good thing when using blogs as part of marketing.

Don't give up. There will be months when it feels like a waste of time, but if you set a blog topic and stick to it, and provide really useful and valuable information, not information just to have something out there, the result will be success.

Blog marketing takes time, but it is an extremely effective way to get your message out to a lot of people in an authoritative, but not intimidating way. It gives people a chance to learn things, and it gives you a chance to get your voice and expertise out there in a not so strict manner which gives flexibility and ease of use. You do not have to be a tech guru, or own the latest software, etc. to do well as a blogger and get subscribers. You do have to produce quality, consistent quantity, and not just post for yourself, but on other's blogs as well.
