There are so many things that go on when manufacturing is involved. You have to make sure that everything runs smoothly and that the finished product meets your expectations. But what if something goes wrong? How will it get fixed? Here is how to implement a seven step manufacturing problem that will help you iron out some of the wrinkles you might have in your manufacturing.

The first step to implement in a manufacturing problem is to find the cause for the problem. This is done by determining the problem that you might have. For example if you have a manufacturing line that you are putting something together but you are not hitting the numbers you wanted to hit. This could be considered a manufacturing problem. You will need to fins out why you are not hitting your prospected numbers. One reason might be because a person that is assembling one part might not be as fast as some one else on the same team is.

The second step to implement in a manufacturing problem is to define a way to fix the problem. For example if the person that is slow at doing one part of assembling might be really fast at assembling another part. Make sure that everyone is doing the workstation they are best at. This will help build momentum and help your production numbers go up.

The third step to implement in a manufacturing problem is if your product ships out late because there is not enough of the product. This is when you can fix the problem by manufacturing more of that particular product so you will not have the problem in the future.

The fourth step to implement in a manufacturing problem is to make sure that all of your computer programs are up to date. Even though getting a new program might be expensive. It will usually end up saving your money in the end. If your program is outdated it might not be able to keep up with the speed of things and end up slowing you down. So make sure that all of your programs can handle the load that you have.

You want to make sure to keep your employees happy. With out employees your business wouldn't run. You need your employees to help you keep your company a float. So treat them kindly and fairly, and make sure that the managers your hire will also do the same. You want to make sure that the personalities of your managers will mix well with your employees.

The sixth step to implement in a manufacturing problem is to make sure that you are hiring great employees. You don't want to just hire anyone off the street. You want to make sure to hire employees that will do your company good. You want to hire sharp employees for when a manufacturing problem does come up they know how to implement without having to make a huge mess out of it first. You also want to make sure that you hire people that will get along with each other and mesh well. You don't want to hire some one as a manager that you know will take it over the top and make their authority known all of the time. But at the same time you don't want to hire a manager that will be a push over either.

The seventh step to implement in a manufacturing problem is to listen and to communicate. This is a huge part of problem solving. Make sure to listen to what your employees have to say. Sometime they will know more about what is going on with the equipment than you do. This is because they work with the equipment to manufacture your products. Make sure to care about and help get results when they have concerns and complaints. This might be the most important step to implement in a manufacturing problem.
