The last tool that you need to be aware of in TQM is force field analysis, which is a technique that is used to identify forces that can help or hinder your manufacturing plant from achieving success in changing or improving your processes. How this works is through assessing the forces that prevent you from making the changes, once they have been assessed you can create a plant to overcome those forces that will prevent you from making the change.

The good thing about this tool is that it can also identify any forces that will help your manufacturing plant make the needed changes. Knowing what is going to prevent and help you make a change will allow you to look at the proposed change to see if it is going to be viable for your company.
