In addition, cross-training helps your business save additional costs, since you no longer need to pay for multiple salaries, for the employees that were considered less then fully productive.Keep in mind that in order for cross-training to work, you must be able to teach your employees proper communication skills, so they can easily transfer information between different departments. Communication plays a significant role in your ability to eliminate wasted time.
- Giving your employees problem-solving skills-Six Sigma training gives employees basic and advanced problem-solving tools,that help them organize and analyze problems. They are then taught how to use statistical methods to solve the problem.
- Training in presentation and closing techniques. Another critical step in Six Sigma training is to ensure that everyone, within the business is taught how to manage their process, and to become decision makers. You must also teach employees how to close projects when they completed or abandoned.
