Once you have figure out the problems then you can start getting down to the root of the problem and start making each product as defect free as possible. You will want to also make sure that you stay in control. You will want to make sure that your customers will still value your product a long with your shareholders even after you change it a little bit.
The second way is to make sure that you listen to your customers. Your customers are what make you your money. You will want to make sure that you take into consideration comments that your customers make about the quality of your product along with the structure and price. This will help you to get a better idea of what defects they think that your products have. If you start to hear complaints from your customers about quality you will know that you have cut too much or need to start producing more products at a higher margin to lower your over all cost. The third way is to get suggestions from your employees. Next to your customers your employees are the next important thing. Without your employees you would not have an operating manufacturing business and would not be making your money. You will want to make sure that you take suggestions from your employees and actually act on some of their suggestions. For example you might want to get suggestions on what ideas your employees have on how you can produce faster with fewer defects. The fourth way is to have training sessions for your employees. This will not only help your employees to be aware of the different steps that are in six sigma but it will also help them to understand exactly what occurs with six sigma. You may also want to explain to your employees the positive effects that six sigma will have on your manufacturing. These are just some of the ways to make six sigma a viable option for your manufacturing business. There area lot of other ways that you can achieve this.
