How to make your black and white ad stand out

If you were to look over a black and white ad and a colored ad side by side they would probably have a lot of the same attributes. For example they would both probably have some kind of business name or logo on the ad. They would probably both list what they were trying to sell. But the black and white ad might stand out more than the colored ad does.

Color does not always get the point a crossed sometimes color is too loud and just adds disturbance to an ad more than anything. There is just something about black and white ads that sometimes stand out more than colored ads. It may be the fact that the actual ad is black and white. Think about it black and white ads are classics. Black and white ads have been around since newspapers and magazines were first printed. That is all there was in the beginning.

There are lots of people who think that there is not a way to make a black and white ad stand out. That because they do date back. In fact, many think they date so far back that black and white ads are old and out dated. Even though black and white ads take more to stand out it doesn't mean that it is impossible.Take for example the black and white ads on television, do you stop and take a second look at the television when they come on? Most people take a minute to stop and watch the television because there is something about these black and white ads that are intriguing, and that makes the black and white ads stand out.

You just need to add character to make your black and white ad stand out. For example put bullets by the specific points you want to get a crossed. People like to look at a black and white ad and get as much out of it as they can as they are walking by. If they find something interesting they might stop and examine the advertisement a little closer to get some more information. So make sure that the bullets have either the products that you have for sale or list different deals or events going on that you know people will be interested in.

You can also make your black and white ads stand out by giving detailed information about the product you are selling. For example say you are using a black and white ad to sell haircuts at your local salon. Instead of just advertising you are having a sale on haircuts tell them how much of a discount they are getting with either a percentage or dollar amount. This will get peoples attention just by seeing things discounted.

Another thing you can do to make your black and white ad stand out is to bold all of your letters in the heading so people's attention will automatically be drawn to the black and white ad. You can also put in big bold words sale or clearance or half off or just discounted. Any words that will make your black and white ad stand out from the rest of the black and white ads. You can also make your letters be bigger than standard letters. Or put more spaces in your ad so it takes up more room in the ad. You can also get pictures to ad to your black and white ad to help it stand out. If you are trying to sell something what better way than to put a picture underneath so people will get to see what your product looks like. For example if you are selling a truck or a car you will probably get more calls on you truck or car if you have a picture under your black and white ad than a person with the same exact truck or car for sale that does not have a picture. People want to see what they are buying before they buy it and having a picture even if it is black and white will let them see what you have to offer.

Use white space. A paper full of ads with a blank spot is sure to draw some attention.
