How to alert your subscribers of a new videocast posting

So, you have a new video cast posting, and you want to let people know that it is available, but you aren't sure how. So, how do you alert your subscribers, and others, of a new video cast posting?

It is easy. Because they are your subscribers, you likely have their email address, so what you can do to let them know of a new video cast posting, is send out a mass email. You will wan to set up your program so that this email is automatic, this will save you time and money. You can just have a feature with your software you purchase to run your video casting that allows for an automatically generated email for each new posting.

When you send out one of these mass emails to alert your subscribers of a new video cast posting there are a few things you will want to include:

1. A catchy subject line. For many, your mass email will get sent right to their junk mail box, and so, you want to make sure that when they check their junk mailbox for things that aren't junk, that they open your email. People will subscribe to your site and part of doing so will include them providing an active email address so that you can contact them. Once you have that you are set. So, you can alert these subscribers by having an automatically generated mailing list announcement that goes out with each new post. It is worth repeating that this announcement should have a link to the video cast, or at least a link to the site that has it, not just directions of how to get the new posting.
