Satellite Cable
Back in the day, TV only had one channel. But now because of better technology you can receive hundreds of channels with satellite TV. There are certain companies that even offer thousands of channels. That is more channels then ever before.
What happens is that the antenna that is connected to your home receives signals from the satellite that is in space. It then transmits the signals to your satellite receiver and the channels are shown on your TV. You may not have noticed. But there is something missing in that. How are the signals transmitted to you TV? It is not like they can just jump from the satellite antenna into the satellite receiver. Well the answer is quite simple really. The signals are transmitted through a satellite cable. This is the cord that connects you antenna to the receiver. It is an important cord because it is necessary in order to get your shows from the antenna to the receiver to the TV. If not for it, your receiver would just be an old box sitting next to your TV with no use but to look technical. There are many different cords that are available and they are very important for the system to work. Without them, it would not work at all. Except for the fact that the signals would be read by the antenna, but then they would have nowhere to go after that. These cables are a braided long cord that have a casing on them to protect them. It is an important part of the system so you cannot do without it really. You probably do not want to do without it. Probably you did not even think about doing with out it. That would just be silly. Why would you not want the cable that connects the antenna to the receiver unless you thought it looked bad? If you look out over a city it is weird to think how many of the building and homes you see that probably have dish antennas hooked up to them. It is weird to think to them all pointing in the same direction towards the same satellite. It is also weird to think of all the information that is being sent to all their TVs through their satellite cables. It is weird to wonder if any of them are watching the same shows. It is weird to think that each of them is individual in their TV watching and such and that so many of them could be doing the very same thing. It kind of stresses the importance of the satellite cable to think of it this way. You think of all those people and all those shows and that all of those shows make it to the TVs because the dish transmits the signals to the receiver through the satellite cable, and it is kind of like, "Hmm...yeah that is very important." You probably never thought that it was not important, but this just shows how important it is. So do not forget, the dish antenna receives signals from the satellite and those signals are then transmitted through the satellite cable to the satellite receiver. That is how you see the shows and such on your TV. Search our site for more information: Rate This Post
