Satellite TV Comparison

Satellite TV. Wow. What a great thing. Satellite TV is something that just makes you go, "Wow." Why does it make you do this you ask? Because it is the latest and greatest when it comes to TV and sure does prove its greatness.

Actually, it does not even need to prove its greatness. Its greatness just is. It just exists and people see it on their own. It is crazy to think back to how TV first began and to see the difference.

When TV was first invented it had one channel to chose from. That must have made for an easy decision someone asked, "What should we watch?" The answer would merely be, "What is on?" Because whatever was on was what you would be watching. Unless you enjoyed staring at a blank screen, you could watch that if you wanted.

But soon TV expanded its horizons. It got bigger and better, no one could stop its growth. More and more channels would be added and better and better quality would be seen. But nothing can quite compare with satellite TV.

Satellite TV is just the best. You can now watch hundreds of different channels and you do not have to flip through them all one by one to find one that you like. You can just open up the menu, scroll through all the titles that are playing at the time, choose one and watch it.

So how do you get satellite TV? Say all this sounds really appealing to you and you want to get satellite TV for yourself. You say it is for your whole family though so you do not sound selfish.

What you have to do to get it is order it. This may sound easy but there is more to it. You have to not only order but order from whomever you think is the best provider. And whomever you think provides the best deals.

There are two main providers in the U.S. and they are Dish Network and DirecTV. There are others, but they are not really worth comparing. Dish Network and DirecTV will have the best things for you for sure.

They both have their pros and cons. When it comes to prices Dish Network has the lowest prices for its plans. It ranges from around twenty-five to seventy-eight dollars for a plan while DirecTV ranges from thirty-seven to eighty-eight.

The difference is not too large. When it comes to cost of receivers, both offer free receivers. The difference is that Dish Network will charge for better receivers. They will charge from zero to one-hundred and fifty dollars.

You also have the options of buying HDTV receivers. If this is what you want Dish Network is higher than DirecTV at four-hundred and fifty dollars while DirecTV charges four-hundred dollars.

They both include the dish free so that is good. But there is one other thing that DirecTV offers that Dish Network does not. This is satellite internet. So if you would like to receiver satellite internet as well as satellite TV, DirecTV is probably the way you want to go.

If that does not matter to you, you will have to look at the other factors and decide which is best. If you go completely by this comparison the problem could be that this mainly shows cost and not quality.

While one may have lower costs, that does not mean is has the same quality. So it is important to look at all the factors and not just the things that are said here. In the end, you want the plan that is best for you, nothing less.
