Sources for learning more about podcasting

Here are some great sources for learning more about podcasting.

Internet:
This is one of the best sources to use when you are trying to find information on podcasting. The search engines will lead you to a variety of websites where you can obtain free information about anything you want to know about podcasting. You can find articles that discuss how to create your own podcast, or find blogs that talk about making money with your podcasts. You can even find websites that are dedicated strictly to podcasting and usually have a wealth of information about frequently asked questions when it comes to podcasting. Another great thing about using the internet for a source for learning more about podcasting is that you can find useful information for every level of podcaster out there, some websites are for more advanced users, but many are dedicated to users who are just starting out with podcasting.

Magazines:
This is another great source of information for learning about podcasting and the best thing about it is you can find them in a variety of places. Although the magazines are not free they are dedicated to podcasting and can provide as much information as the internet. You can usually get a cheaper rate if you subscribe to the magazine rather than buying one every time it comes out. Podcasting has their own magazine but the topic is also covered in a variety of other computer and technology magazines. But beware that some magazines are for advanced users and are full of technical terms that not everybody can understand. If you are a novice user you might want to steer clear of technology magazines.

Book stores:
This is a great place to find books about podcasting. Book stores will carry a variety of books for all user levels, so no matter what level of podcasting you are doing you can find a book to help you. But keep in mind that many times what is available in the book stores can usually be found online for free. But some people prefer to read a book rather than read a computer screen. Also with books you can mark up the book as to what is useful and what is not, where with a computer screen you can not make any notes unless you print out the pages. So depending on what you are going to want to do a book store is a great place to go to get information on podcasting. You can also find books online that you can purchase, whether they are ebooks or regular books and sometimes buying them online is cheaper then going to the book store.

Library:
The library is probably just as useful as the internet when it comes to using it as a source to learn more about podcasting. At the library you have free access to magazines, books and the internet to help aid you in your search. But you also have the use of the librarians who can help point you in the right direction if you are having problems finding what you are looking for. At the library you can read the magazines that are widely available for podcasting and technology, as well as the books and if you need some more time you can always check them out to bring them home.

Other people:

This is probably the easiest source to use for finding more information on podcasting. You can join podcasting websites that allow users to discuss information on message boards or in forums. Or you can ask friends that are experienced in podcasting about tips or tricks that they have learned with making their podcasts.

Just remember that there are numerous sources out there for you to use to learn more about podcasting for a reason, what might work for you might not work for somebody else.
