Lots of times photographers like to take their pictures during the "magic hours", these hours are the hours after the sunrises and before the sun sets.During these hours is when you are most likely to get the best lighting for you photos.It is not a rule that all pictures be taken during those hours, it is just a suggestion, and pictures can be taken any time of day.

Let's say you are taking pictures for a wedding and you have not hired a professional photographer, and you absolutely want you pictures to turn out great.Get a camera with multiple settings, you can find a use for all the settings a wedding.Be sure you get picture of everyone and everything, you might end up with a lot pictures but is better to have more pictures to choose from then to have hardly any.Don't take random pictures, takes pictures of special things.Take pictures of people who are actually looking at the camera and ready to take a picture.Take lots of pictures of the bride and her groom, because after all it is their day.Make sure you are using the correct settings; use the inside setting for pictures inside, use the motion setting for pictures where the object is moving.Using the correct setting in your pictures can really difference.

Maybe you want to take some great photos of your kids and you don't wan to pay all that money for a photographer.First put your kids in the outfits you want them to wear right before you take the pictures, if you put them in their outfits to hours prior the outfits might not be clean anymore.Decide on where the picture will be taken, sometimes location is the key to a great picture.When you are taking the picture that your kids are the focal point, too much of something else on the side can distract from the kids.Take lots of pictures and pick out the best ones when you do your photo editing.
