What is required to become a six sigma green belt

Before you can become a six sigma green belt or before you can fully understand what is required to be a six sigma green belt it is probably a good idea to know what a six sigma green belt is. As you are probably aware of there are different levels when it comes to six sigma training and certification. The different levels are: yellow belt, green belt, black belt, and master black belt. In six sigma training a green belt certification is only for employees who make use of six sigma but are not quality process managers. Something else that you need to know about six sigma in general is that it is an important skill for any employee to have if they are working for a corporation that uses six sigma so that they know and understand the company's mindset when it comes to quality control and management, not to mention understanding how the company is actually working.

Here is what is required to become a six sigma green belt.

Number one:
The first thing that you are going to need to do in order to become a six sigma green belt is to get some certification training to become a six sigma green belt. The good news about this is that the training is something that is going to be something easy to do because you can get it through any number of organizations or universities.

Number two:
But getting the certification and training isn't just as simple as going to the classes and doing what you are told. There are also some things that you are going to be required to know before you can be considered a six sigma green belt, which means that the certification programs are going to require you to know certain things.

Number three:
One thing that you are going to have to know is about six sigma itself. Basically you are going to be required to receive an overview of six sigma. This is going to include a review of the key concepts of six sigma that are associated with making a project team effective. Basically your six sigma green belt training and certification is going to be the same training and certification that the black belts must go through but it won't be as thorough and comprehensive.

Number four:
One thing that you are going to need to have to become a six sigma green belt is that you are going to be trained to do certain things. One thing that you are going to be trained in is the methodology that is specifically structured to solve problems that involve improving business projects.

Number five:
You are also going to be taught intermediate level quality control and improvement tools that are within and related to the problem solving methodology that you were taught earlier in your training.

Number six:
The last thing that you are going to be required to do to become a six sigma green belt is you are going to be trained in how you can generate bottom-line financial improvements and results.

But before you go through with six sigma green belt training and certification something that you need to know about being a green belt is that the certification process centers around the DMAIC process for product improvement, so not only will you be trained with DMAIC training, but you will also be instructed in intermediate grade statistical tools and graphical tools that are associated with the DMAIC model. For your information DMIAC stands for Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control.
