Shortening your sales cycle

Do you find that you get a lot of contacts but it takes months to convert them to a sale? Shortening your sales cycle is one of the best things you can do in order to have a successful business. It is important to look at all of the promotional material you are putting out there. If you have a lot of material that is filled with too much text or it's pretty much copied right off your website, it's not going to do much to show your customers why they need to trust you and purchase from you.

The secret is coming down to the way you speak. Are you telling the customers all the unique things about your company or are you actually talking to your customers through the heart? Are you giving them a reason to listen to you? Address the concerns and problems they may be having and it will make it much easier for you to create healthier relationships with them. Try to avoid those long paragraphs unless they are necessary to answer a very complex question.

Emotion is everything when it comes to getting your customers interested in your company and in your products. You must be able to seek out the exact emotion the fuels your customers. Create a brand that evokes emotion from the customers. It is important to create a connection with your audience in order for them to see you as a trustworthy company and one that they have a desire to work with. Tug on your clients heartstrings and you can capture their attention and you will be able to inspire them.

Present a problem and show your customers how you will solve it. People need to see that you have the solution they are looking for and that you will be able to make it very easy and simple for them to find a solution.

Never neglect the power of your website. You need a site that is user friendly and a site that will be able to answer all of the common questions that your customers have. This makes it much easier for you to sit back and relax as you don't need to focus as much on the easy questions because your customers can find those solutions quickly by turning to your website. A website will be able to help you generate new leads and bring in clients when you don't have the time to go to every conference and look for a new person. Create a client-capturing website. What this means is you will answer all of the questions they have and you make the site user-friendly. Here are some of the things you can do to your website in order to have it shorten your sales cycle:
1. Answer the key questions. When someone is looking for you and the products you have, they want to see these solution on your website. Having a website that will "pre-qualify" your customers will make it much easier for you to find new clients to contact. The great thing about these clients is that they have sought you out and they understand your situation and know that you are the perfect match for their needs.
2. As you post the information customers want, you can weed out the people that you don't want to work with. The nice thing about this is that you won't waste a ton of time dealing with people that won't buy your product.
3. Get the customer to act. Use action words and sentences that will get your customers to act. This is one of the best things you can do in order to shorten your sales cycle. Look for ways to show your customers how you plan on delivering your services to them and make it easy to do.
