How do I change my MSN Hotmail secret question? How do I change my MSN Hotmail secret question? There are a number of different reasons why you would be asking this. Maybe you forgot your secret question that you had set already. Maybe somebody found out what your secret question and your secret answer was. If that's the case, that somebody who has your secret information can log in to your email account even without your password. A secret question and secret answer combo is commonly used by email services or other online services, such as banking and credit cards, email accounts, and shopping accounts with different stores. This secret question and secret answer combo is designed to make sure that nobody can access your account. The problem, of course, is if somebody finds out what your secret question and your secret answer are. Then you've got to change your secret question for your own security.
Of course, you might have simply forgotten what the secret answer to your secret question in. In this case, you will naturally want to reset the secret question and secret answer. Here's how you change your MSN Hotmail secret question. First you have to log in to Hotmail. If you can't log in, you've got a big problem. You can't change your secret question and secret answer unless you can log in, which means that you have your password. (Of course, things can become a bit confusing-if you forget your secret question and secret answer, then you have to remember your password so that you can change your secret question and secret answer. You can then use that changed secret question and secret answer for when you forget your password, so that supposedly the email service can verify that you are the one who wants to change the password, not somebody stealing your account. So: forget either the password or the secret question and secret answer, but not both.) Alright, so you've logged in to MSN Hotmail. Now look in the upper right hand corner of the screen. There should be a link that says Options. Click on the Options link. Then you'll be taken to another page, the Options page. When you get to the Options page, find a link that says Secret Question. Click on the Secret Question link. When you click on the Secret Question link, you'll be taken to a different page. This page will say Change Your Question and Secret Answer. This page is where you will change your secret question and secret answer. Once you get to the Change your question and secret answer page, you're going to have to enter your password again. After you enter your password this second time (once again, supposedly to make sure that you are actually the one changing your secret password, not some evil and unfriendly Internet bad guy), you will choose one of Hotmail's secret questions. These are things like Where is the second place that you lived growing up? Who was your first kiss? What state did your spouse propose in? What is your dog's favorite color? (You won't actually get that last question-dogs are colorblind.) So you choose one of the secret questions that Hotmail offers, and then you enter in your secret answer to the secret question. After you type in your secret answer, press continue. Search our site for more information: Rate This Post
