The future of Business Technology

grouponphones67956484.jpg Looking back over the past 10 years of business technology, we have seen so many remarkable accomplishments. The evolutions of Bluetooth and wireless access cards have allowed business men and women to be completely mobile. The concept of accessing your files anytime, anywhere and practically anyway has helped many small businesses grow into large corporations. We are now left with the question, "what doe the future of business technology have in store?"

Mobile technology is always changing and increasing. Computer networking is constantly being worked on by the U.S. military, as it allows their soldiers to communicate with one another and receive data when they are in the field. Currently the U.S. military is working on creating a new generation of mobile ad-hoc networks. These networks are self-configuring networks of wireless nodes that allow military personnel faster and more reliable tactical communications.

Network coding is one of the largest fields for future technology. Microsoft is currently testing a program called, Avalanche. Avalanche is being used to test network coding to deliver wide-scale on-demand TV and software patches without causing bottlenecks. Mobile wireless networks are not able to communication with network coding and this is still causing several problems in the testing phase. Network coding will allow you to use less bandwidth to send information, allowing for faster internet browsing and file sending.

The economy depends on technology as it grows into the future. Now more than ever, the customer is in the driver's seat when it comes to technology. Due to past software problems, many business buyers are skeptical when it comes to buying the latest and greatest technology. The big companies like Dell, Apple and Microsoft are always looking for ways to improve their existing products to help their client's businesses grow.

With the rapid technology boom over the last 10 years, you shouldn't expect to see too many changes for the future. The biggest thing companies are working on nowadays is reducing cost and energy. "Going green" has been a large statement tossed around in many business settings recently.

Technology companies who partner with retailers are finding ways to help their customers dispose of old waste like obsolete televisions, cell phones, and old computers. Electronic recycling programs will cut down on the nations waste and reduce waste management problems that are currently plaguing society. Lead and other hazardous materials are not suppost to be disposed of at the dump, by implementing electronic recycling programs; companies like Best Buy are helping the world to "go green".

The rising oil cost has forced many businesses to increase their prices in order to pay for the gas prices. Many businesses are encouraging their employees to car pool, use public transportation, or consider walking (if it is a reasonable distance). The evolution of the hybrid car has taken some financial burden off the wallets of many consumers, but it is still not enough. Several businesses are looking for ways to cut the cost of products through the transportation cost. All of the major auto manufacturers have been playing around with solar energy for years and looking for ways to convert this power into energy that will last for extended periods of time. There are some solar powered cars, but nothing has been released to the public yet.

The future is always full of many possibilities; keep your eyes open as technology continues to grow with each decade. Think back to the days before NASA actually landed on the moon; did anyone ever think that was possible? We now are in the same field of thinking where technology will take us and how it will impact our businesses.
