One of thebest ways to insure that your customers will return again and again, is to provide them with the highest degree of customer service. Having a high degree of customer service is one of the best ways to insure that your customers will come back to buy from you again. Studies have shown that an overwhelming majority of customers will return to purchase from a particular company, even when their price is not the lowest, simply because of the level of customer service that they provide. It is crucial to train every employee that works in your company and insure that they understand that customer's service is their highest priority. Here is what you need to know about how to provide the best customer service-

- Take a close look at what your customers are doing-Studies have shown that you can tell a lot about your customer's simply by observing their behavior. This includes whether or not your customers are going to stay with you or leave for your nearest competitor. The ways your customers are acting can a predictor for future behavior. You need to see the signs that a particular customer may be leaving and then be able to react, long before they do. If you find that a customer is consistently paying late or they are no longer stopping in, you can take action to determine if there is a problem with your customer service. Many times simply checking in with your customers, can be enough to dissuade not to leave. At any rate, simply checking in with them, will show your customers that you care about them and value their business.
- Talk to your customers-If you don't have an open line of communication with your customers, it can be very difficult to determine if you need to make changes or improvements. Communicating with your customers can be as simple as talking to them after they make purchase, or sending out a customer satisfaction survey. You want to know what your customers like and don't like about your business and the products and services that you offer. If you take the time to sendout an effective customer service survey, you will quickly see if there are gaps in your customer service and what you are doing right. Communicating with your customers will allow you to have an insight into what your business can be doing better.
- Establish a relationship with your customers-The essence of good marketing is to establish a relationship with your target market. When you can make your customers feel that you truly care about them and their needs, you will have established the right level of customer service. When your customers feel that not just their business, but they are valuable to you, they will return again and again, to buy from you. Do not make the mistake of thinking that simply greeting your customers and thanking them is enough. You will need to be able to show your customers that you can save them time and money, when they do business with your company. You want to go the extra mile and make sure that they are satisfied with every aspect of doing business with you. When you get to know your customers, their families, and their interests, and how your product or service, fits into their lives, you will have achieved the type of customer service you need, to keep your customers coming back to you, for a long time to come. Finally, be enthusiastic with your customers. Nothing can kill a budding business/customer relationship faster then apathy on the part of the business.
